Residents of Independent School District 192 can find out more about proposed changes to elementary- and middle school attendance boundaries as well as a potential change to the Farmington High School schedule at a special work session tonight.
The meeting will begin at 5 p.m. Nov. 17 in the little theater at Farmington High School. The agenda includes an update on discussions regarding attendance boundary changes needed to accommodate the opening of a new elementary school and a second middle school next fall.
The board will also get an update on the process of finding new names for the new elementary and both middle schools and on a proposed new schedule for Farmington High School. There has been discussion of changing from the current seven-period day and two-semester year to a five- or six-period day and a three-trimester year.
Also on the agenda are results of Northwest Education Association testing, and a discussion of the process for appointing someone to replace current board member Terry Donnelly, who won a seat on the Farmington City Council.
