Boy Scout tree lot
Farmington Boy Scout Troop 116 will run its Christmas tree lot from 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Nov. 28-30 at the Reisinger Farm on Akin Road. The Scouts will sell trees and wreaths.
November 29
Craft and bake sale
The Farmington American Legion will hold a craft and bake sale from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Nov. 29. Santa will visit from 1 to 4.
The VFW is located at 421 Third St.
December 6
Snowmobile safety class
The Farmington Snow Tigers will hold a snowmobile safety class from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Farmington Eagles Club, 200 Third St.

Hoop it up
Homeward Bound Theater Company will offer Hoop it Up from 10 to 11:30 a.m. Dec. 6 at Farmington Middle School. Third- through sixth graders can show off their ability to keep a hula hoop going. Participants will learn the basics such as how to keep a hoop up and tricks ranging from easy to multiple-hoop separations. Students will also learn improvisational theater games, balloon animal sculpting and magic.

Digital camera class
The Dakota County Farmington library will offer a digital camera basics class from 6 to 8 p.m. Dec. 9. Get hands-on experience taking pictures with a digital camera and learn how to transfer pictures to a computer for editing Classes are free but require registration.

Community meal
There is a community meal at 5:30 p.m. the second and fourth Thursday of the month at Farmington Lutheran Church, 20600 Akin Road, Farmington. The meal is free but a free will offering is accepted. All are welcome. The meals are held the second and fourth Thursday of each month.
This is the final community meal.

The Farmington Public Library invites children of all ages to Holiday Stories and Movies from 10:30 to 11 a.m. Dec. 12.

St. Mathias Catholic Council of Women of Hampton will hold their annual holiday luncheon from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Dec. 13 in the basement of the church, located at the corner of Highway 50 and County Road 47. There will be German food, a bake sale and door prizes.
