New FHS tour, technology videos now playing online

Programming on District 192 Educational Access (Channel 10) has expanded with the addition of a staff-guided tour of the new Farmington High School and the first in a series of videos exploring the use of technology to improve teaching and learning.

The tour video features teachers, counselors and administrators speaking about specific areas of the new Farmington High School, explaining how each space will be used to support instruction. Department tours include science, art, music, video/radio production and physical education. Viewers will also be introduced to the school’s media center and counseling areas, as well as the small learning community concept and flexible classrooms.

The classroom technology video highlights the use of student response systems, which allow students to give immediate feedback that can help teachers adjust instruction to best meet student needs.
