Your Weekend: Get your daily dose of oompah tonight

The Farmington High School German club will present the Bavarian Musikmeisters at 7:30 p.m. April 30 at the FHS auditorium.

The Farmington High School German club will present the Bavarian Musikmeisters at 7:30 p.m. April 30 at the FHS auditorium. For more information or to buy tickets call 651-460-1498. Tickets will also be available at the door. Proceeds will support FHS students on a trip to Germany.

Friday

Grand Hall Studio grand opening

There will be a May Day grand opening starting at 2:30 p.m. May 1 at the studio, located on the second floor of the Exchange Bank building. There will be May Day basket making starting at 2:30 and a ribbon cutting at 4:30.

The studio is located at the corner of Third and Oak streets.

Live music

Tim Jackson and Friends will perform from 8 to 11 p.m. May 1 at the Ugly Mug coffee shop and bar.

The Ugly Mug is located at 18450 Pilot Knob Road in Farmington.

Saturday

River cleanup

Friends of the Mississippi River will hold a cleanup event along the Vermillion River from 9 to 11 a.m. May 2 starting at Rambling River Park. Supplies are provided, as is a pizza lunch. Participation requires pre-registration by April 29 by phone at 651-222-2193 x23 or e-mail at mdudle@fmr.org.

Waffle breakfast

The Knights of Columbus Ladies Auxiliary will hold a fund raiser waffle breafkast from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. April 26 at St. Michael’s Catholic Church.

The church is located at 22120 Denmark Ave.

Prairie Home carriage festival

Minnesota Whips and Wheels will bring its first Prairie Home Carriage Festival to the Dakota City Heritage Village from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. May 3. Anyone with a Victorian-era vehicle can display it. There will be a parade at 1 p.m. Only Whips and Wheels members can participate in the parade.

The event is free and open to the public.

Dakota City Spring Festival open house

Dakota City Heritage Village will host its second annual spring festival from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. May 2 and 3. The event is free and open to the public. For information, call Dakota City at 651-460-8050.
