This summer will see the inception of the district’s first recreational tennis league, Farmington Area Tennis League, or FAT League for short. It is open to all ages and levels of play, will run from June 1 to late August at the Farmington High School (new Boeckman Middle School) tennis courts, and is free of charge.

To join the league, submit your information on the “Join” page of FATLeague.com by May 29 and play in exhibition matches during the first couple weeks. The purpose of these first sessions — on Mondays and Thursdays from June 1 to the 11th — is to assess each participant’s skill level so that regular season play (June 15-August 17) may be split into divisions that are as competitive and enjoyable as possible. There will also be playoffs on August 20 and 24.

For more information, see FATLeague.com, and direct any questions to league officials via links provided on the web site.
