The Farmington Library will host movies for kids from 10:30 to 11:15 a.m. July 3. The library is located at 508 Third St.

Farmer’s market
The downtown Farmington farmer’s market will kick off from 3 to 7 p.m. July 9 in the lot next to Aaron Chiropractic (formerly Lampert Lumber) at 109 Spruce St. Fresh produce, flowers, berries, eggs and baked goods will be available. Coffee chat
There will be a coffee chat on COPD and lung health at 10:30 a.m. July 9 at Farmington’s Rambling River Center. The event, sponsored by the American Lung Association, will focus on helping people recognize the disease, ways to help people determine the best course of treatment and how to educate family and friends.
Steak fry
The Farmington Warrior to Citizen group will hold a fundraiser steak fry from 5 to 9 p.m. July 18 at the Farmington VFW. Funds will be used for programs and events to support and recognize local service members and their families. Cost will be $9 with $4 going to the group. The Warrior to Citizen group is also looking for volunteers to work at the steak fry. For more information go to farmingtonw2c.org and click on the steak fry fundraiser tab.
Fundraising fitness class
Grand Hall Studio will offer Zumba, a fitness class that fuses Latin dance and fitness moves, as part of a fundraiser Aug. 20. The event will raise money for Caring Tree, a group that promotes educational succes for Minnesota’s K-12 students in need. Farmington’s Ramble and Amble
Farmington’s Ramble and Amble, an annual fundraiser for the American Cancer Society, will take place from 6 to 10 p.m. July 31 at the Dakota County Fairgrounds. For more information call Joan Jensen at 651-423-7491.
