Steak fry
The Farmington Warrior to Citizen group will hold a fundraiser steak fry from 5 to 9 p.m. July 18 at the Farmington VFW. Funds will be used for programs and events to support and recognize local service members and their families. Cost will be $9 with $4 going to the group. The Warrior to Citizen group is also looking for volunteers to work at the steak fry. For more information go to farmingtonw2c.org and click on the steak fry fundraiser tab.
Organic farming class
There will be a workshop on mid-season management of an organic vegetable farm starting at 1 p.m. July 19 at Garden’s of Eagan farm’s organic field school near Farmington. For more information or to register call Parker Forsell at 507-523-3366 or e-mail parker@landstewardshipproject.org.
Microsoft Word class
The Dakota County Library in Farmington will hold a Microsoft Word 2007 class from 6 to 8 p.m. July 21 in the library meeting room. Participants will learn the basics of word processing. Classes are free but require reservations due to limited seating. To register or for information call 651-438-0250. The library is located at 508 Third St.
Vacation Bible School
The River Church of Farmington, 408 Third Street, will present a free Vacation Bible School, “Camp E.D.G.E.,” July 21-24 from 9:30-11 a.m., at Rambling River Park in Farmington. Kids ages 6-10 are invited to attend.

Comedy juggling
Alan Johnson, Comedy, Juggler Extraordinare, will entertain all ages 10:30 to 11 a.m. Friday, July 24.

Blood drive

Ramble and Amble
Farmington’s Ramble and Amble, an annual fundraiser for the American Cancer Society, will take place from 6 to 10 p.m. July 31 at Dakota City Heritage Village at the Dakota County Fairgrounds. For more information call Joan Jensen at 651-423-7491.
Highview anniversary
Highview Christiania Church will hold several special events from July 31-Aug. 1 to celebrate its 150th anniversary, from a festival of music concert to the presentation of an anthem commissioned for the anniversary. There will be a variety show at 4 p.m. Aug. 1 with a picnic to follow.
FHS class of ’84 reunion
The Farmington High School class of 1984 will have its 25th reunion at 6:30 p.m. Aug. 8 at the Farmington American Legion. For more information e-mail fhsclass84@yahoo.com.
FHS class of ’64 reunion
The Farmington High School class of 1964 will celebrate its 45-year class reunion by going back to the ’60s Friday evening, Aug. 14 at the Farmington American Legion. Fundraising fitness class
Grand Hall Studio will offer Zumba, a fitness class that fuses Latin dance and fitness moves, as part of a fundraiser Aug. 20. The event will raise money for Caring Tree, a group that promotes educational succes for Minnesota’s K-12 students in need.
