Cub Scout Pack 117 of Meadowview Elementary School will hold an information and sign up event at 3:30 p.m. Sept. 2 in the Meadowview cafetorium. Boys and adults can learn more about Scouts and sign up in time for fall programs. Families who cannot attend the sign up event should call Cubmaster Scott Liebers at 651-463-4416.
The Farmington American Legion Post 189 Ladies Auxiliary will hold its annual salad luncheon from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sept. 10 in the club dining room. Tickets may be purchased from Auxiliary members or at the door the day of the event. Proceeds from the event help fund Auxiliary programs such as scholarships, Girl’s State and veteran programs.
The Farmington Sons of the American Legion hold its first omelet breakfast of the year from 8:30 a.m. to noon Sunday, Sept. 13. The build-your-own, all-you-can-eat omelet breakfast includes cheesy potatoes, toast and coffee. Proceeds from this breakfast will benefit the Rambling River Center.
The Dakota County Farmington Library will offer a free seminar on paying for college from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Sept. 15. Consultants Jay Benenav and Alan Weinblatt will help parents and teens find a college that meets their financial, academic and social needs. The session requires registration. MOMS Club open house
Farmington MOMS Club will have its annual open house Friday, Sept. 18. There will be bounce houses, activities and snacks for the kids. Farmington moms and kids are welcome. Rambling River Center garage sale
The Rambling River Center will hold a fundraising garage sale from 2:30 to 5 p .m. Sept. 17, 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sept. 18 and 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sept. 19. All proceeds will benefit the center. Anyone with slightly used items and clothes they would like to donate can call the center at 651-280-6970.
Class of 1969 reunion
The Farmington High School class of 1969 will hold its 40-year class reunion at 6 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 26 at the Farmington American Legion Club.
