Upcoming events Oct. 19 - 23

Grief seminars

The Farmington Ministerial Association will offer Walking with Hope, in the Midst of Grief, a seven-week series through Nov. 17 at St. Michael’s Church, 22120 Denmark Ave. Seminars will take place from 3:30 to 5 p.m. Tuesdays. The topic for Oct. 20 is “The Spiritual Journey of Hope through Grief.” It will be led by the Rev. Kevin Fox and Jamie Thompsons. The Dakota County Farmington Library will offer a computer basics class from 6 to 8 p.m. Oct. 19. Classes are free but require registration due to limited seating. Call 651-438-0250 for more information.

Learn to support military families

There will be free community training from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Oct. 20 at St. Michael’s Church, 22120 Denmark Ave. Participants can learn more about the challenges faced by returning veterans and their families and the changing face of Minnesota troop deployments. Youth wrestling info night

Farmington Youth Wrestling will hold a registration and information night for pre-K through fifth-grade wrestlers from 6 to 8 p.m. Oct. 21 in the wrestling room at Dodge Middle School. Online registration is available at fyaaasports.org.

Baby storytime

There will be a storytime for babies up to 24 months from 10:30 to 11:15 a.m. Oct. 23 at the Dakota County Farmington Library. The event includes stories, bounces and a playtime.

Belgian waffle breakfast

Rambling River Center will hold an all you can eat Belgian waffle breakfast from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Oct. 25. The center is located at 325 Oak Street. All proceeds will benefit the center.

Youth wrestling information night

Farmington Youth Wrestling will hold a registration and information night for pre-K through fifth-grade wrestlers from 6 to 8 p.m. Oct. 27 in the wrestling room at Dodge Middle School. Online registration is available at www.fyaaasports.org.

Magic show

Magic Norm and the Happy Pirate Show with Norm Barnhart will perform from 10:30 to 11 a.m. Oct. 30 at the Dakota County Farmington Library. Children may wear their Halloween costume. The library is located at 508 Third St. For more information, call 651-438-0250.

Mystery dinner theater

St. Michael’s Catholic Church will hold a mystery dinner theater fundraiser Nov. 7. Social hour will be from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. and the show from 6:30 to 9 p.m. Mister Mystery Productions will perform “Dead Ja Vu.” Proceeds will go to a new sound board.
