Farmington has parks for everyone

The Farmington Parks and Recreation Department maintains more than 722 acres of parkland and more than 40 miles of trails.

Farmington Parks and Recreation offers a number of recreational programs throughout the year. The department offers youth sports, field trips and other family activities.

The department operates the city’s municipal swimming pool, civic ice arena and senior center. The department is also in charge of outdoor skating rinks during the winter months. The department oversees the operation of the Rambling River Center, a gathering place, resource and activity center for Farmington seniors.

The city’s goal is to provide at least 20 acres of parkland for every 1,000 residents.
