Thompson gets Republican endorsement for Pariseau's seat

Lakeville resident David Thompson has received the Republican endorsement in Senate District 36.
Thompson, a former talk show host on KSTP AM who currently owns a law practice in Lakeville, received 62 percent of votes on the second ballot at the Feb. 27 endorsing convention. He beat out current Farmington City Council member Christy Jo Fogarty, Farmington resident Theresa Stokes and Lakeville School Board member Bob Erickson.
Pariseau announced last week that she would not seek re-election this fall.
