The Dakota County Farmington Library will hold a spring picnic featuring stories and movies from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. April 16. Kids are invited to bring a bag lunch and drink.

The Farmington VFW will hold a steak fry to benefit Boy Scout Troop #119 from 5 to 8 p.m. April 17. The club is located at 421 Third St.
Waggin’ Tales
Kids can practice their reading skills by reading to trained therapy dogs at the Dakota County Farmington Library’s Waggin’ Tales event from 10:30 a.m. to noon April 17. Research has shown that children improve reading confidence and fluency when they read in a relaxed environment.

St. Michael’s Catholic Church will hold an all-you-can-eat Belgian waffle breakfast from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. April 18. The event is sponsored by the Knights of Columbus Ladies Auxiliary.
