The money will be used to help the FHS one-act team get to Internationals, where they will perform the play, Almost Maine, their one-act entry at the Thespian Convention in January.
There is to be a silent auction after the show. If anyone would like tickets or to donate to the silent auction, they may email rhalley@farmington.k12. mn.us. Donations will be accepted through May 18.
The one-act team needs to raise over $8,000. They have raised some funds already from card sales, candy sales, and other efforts.
Internationals takes place June 20-26 at the University of Nebraska, Lincoln. Students will learn about all aspects of theater: make-up, costumes, screen and film writing, play direction, set design, prop making, dance, voice, different approaches to theater and much more.
This is the second year Farmington has had a Thespian troupe (7397) and they are pleased to have been asked to perform.
