Your weekend: There will be plenty of music options this weekend
With live music at the Ugly Mug and the American Legion plus 11 bands on the schedule for this weekend's Minnesota Soybean Festival Farmington residents shouldn't have trouble finding something they like. Also on the schedule: A fund-raising garage sale and Guitar Hero at the library.

Open mic
There will be an open mic night hosted by Marv Gohman May 20 at the Ugly Mug coffee shop and bar.

Guitar Hero at the library
Teens can play Guitar Hero on the Dakota County Farmington Library’s big screen from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. May 20.

Iron Horse will perform at 8:30 p.m. May 21 at the Farmington American Legion.
The Legion is located at 10 Eighth St.

BLT will perform starting at 8 p.m. May 21 at the Ugly Mug coffee shop and bar.

Saturday
Minnesota Scottish Fair
The Minnesota Scottish Fair and Highland Games will return to the Dakota County Fairgrounds from 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. May 22 with a Ceilidh from 5:30 to 8 p.m. at the McCracken Pub.

Garage sale fund
raiser
Farmington Lutheran Church will hold a garage sale fund raiser from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. May 21 and 22 at 18577 Euclid Path. Donations can be dropped off at the church or at the site of the sale the week before the sale. Money raised will fund camperships for Bible camp.
Soybean Festival
The Minnesota Soybean Festival kicks off May 20 and continues through the May 22 with several events planned every day. For information visit mnsoybeanfestival.com.
