Josh Schoen of Northfield, a former University of Wisconsin-LaCrosse runner, was the big winner at Saturday’s 31st-Annual Dew Run.
Schoen, 29, crossed the finish line first out of 311 runners in the four-mile race with a time of 20 minutes, 59 seconds. He defeated runner-up Adam Lippold of Elko by 33 seconds and third-place finisher Tyler Olson of Maple Grove by 40 seconds.
The top Farmington finisher was Carl Elmer, who is a member of the Farmington High School cross country and track teams. Elmer was third in his division and 10th overall in a time of 24:53. He warmed up for the feature race by winning the one-mile run in 5:01, just ahead of runner-up Connor Olson of Maple Grove and third-place finisher Troy Larsgard of Eagan.
Other top Farmington four-milers were Alec Wilson (23rd), David Dykhuizen (26th), Christopher Auwarter (28th) and Sean Fitch (31st). The top local female finisher was Lisa Griffin, who was 80th overall and third out of 67 runners in her division in a time of 30:59.
460 runners from eight states competed in the races.
