The open terms are currently held by council members Christy Jo Fogarty and Steve Wilson. Fogarty has been on the city council since 2003; Wilson’s term dates to 2005.
Potential candidates are required to fill out an affidavit of candidacy and pay a $5 filing fee. Both must be done at Farmington City Hall, 430 Third St. City Hall is open Monday through Thursday, 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., and Friday, 7 a.m. to noon, during the summer.
