REQUEST FOR ROAD MAINTENANCE BIDS VERMILLION

TOWNSHIP

TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN:

PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that sealed bids will be received by the Town Clerk of Vermillion Township, Dakota County, Minnesota until 6:00 p.m., on Tuesday September 21, 2010, for road and bridge maintenance which includes blading, graveling, grass cutting, brush and tree trimming, bridge and road repair, barricade and sign placement and snow removal.

Bids must be in a sealed envelope with a brief description of its subject matter written on the outside. The bids may be deposited with the Township Clerk, Maryann Stoffel, at her residence, 9090 170th St East, Hastings MN 55033, until 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday September 21, 2010. Bids received after this time will be returned unopened. The township Board will open the bids at its regular meeting on September 21, 2010 and potentially award the bid on Wednesday, September 22, 2010.

The bidder must demonstrate proof of a good safety record: provide proof of at least 3 years experience of maintaining and plowing township roads; submit a list of all equipment to be used in maintain the township roads; proof of ownership of equipment; number of employees (full time and part time); and a certificate of insurance for showing both liability and workmen's compensation. All bidders may obtain a copy of the bid specifications from the Town Clerk before submitting a bid. A copy of the proposed Contract is available for review from the Township Clerk.

The township board reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive any technicalities and to award the bid which is in the best interest of the Township. If you have questions contact Vermillion Town Clerk, Maryann Stoffel at 651 491 6603.
