The arrival of winter means Farmington residents have to pay attention to where they’re parking.

Winter parking restrictions in place from Nov. 1 to April 15 prohibit parking on city streets between 2:30 and 5:30 a.m. and any time at least two inches of snow falls. Residents can park on city streets following a heavy snowfall once the streets have been plowed from curb to curb.

Anyone who would like to report a parking violation can call 651-280-6700.

Residents are also responsible for keeping sidewalks, trails and boulevards passable. Snow and ice must be cleared within 12 hours.
