A family dispute boiled over on Thanksgiving day in Castle Rock Township, and a 22-year-old Wisconsin man faces felony charges as a result.
According to a complaint filed last week in the Dakota County Attorney’s office Anthony Tyler Spease got into a fight with his stepfather around 4 p.m. Nov. 25. Dakota County Sheriff’s deputies broke them up, but when it became clear deputies were not going to arrest anybody Spease reportedly got upset and threatened to kill his stepfather.“I have $2,000 in my pocket right now and I’m going to buy a gun,” he said, according to the complaint. “I’ll put a bullet in his head.”
According to the complaint, deputies calmed Spease down and he apologized. Deputies allowed him to leave, but a few minutes later Spease’s mother got a text from her son again threatening to kill his stepfather.
Deputies found Spease and arrested him. He had about $1,850 in his pocket.
If he’s convicted on a felony charge of making terroristic threats, Spease could face up to five years in jail and fines of up to $10,000. If convicted on a misdemeanor charge of domestic assault he could face up to 90 days in jail and fines of up to $1,000.
