Wrestling: Elmer qualifies for state

Farmington senior Carl Elmer qualified for his third straight Class 3A State Wrestling Meet by winning the 140-pound championship at Saturday's section meet.
Elmer advanced to the finals with a 15-7 decision, then won the finals by an 8-3 score.
The state tournament gets underway Thursday at Xcel Energy Center in St. Paul.
