Special education teacher Lynn Stone received a Target Corporation Field Trip Grant. The grant money was used to fund a trip to the Forest Lake area Wildlife Science Center.
Teachers of the students who participated in this field trip are Lynn Stone and Manuela Edwards. The field trip incorporated reading, language, science and geography as students learned about the location, history and habitat of the animals at the center.
The wildlife center is now a non-profit organization and has been used for research and educational programs for many wild animals.
