A big sixth inning allowed the Farmington Senior Babe Ruth baseball team to escape Faribault with its second win of the season Tuesday night.

Trailing 6-3, Farmington loaded the bases to start the sixth courtesy of walks to Eric Slobodnik, Simon Lindstrom and Jake Adam. Andy Morris followed with a two-run single to make it 6-5, then, after a Tyler Knutson bunt single reloaded the bases, Jeff Zakoski cracked a two-run single to give the visitors the lead.

Faribault grabbed the early advantage, scoring six runs on seven hits and five walks in the first three innings against starter Andy Sharratt.

Morris came on in relief and picked up the win, holding Faribault scoreless over the final four innings.

Farmington got three runs back in the top of the third when Zakoski and Marty Rivera singled and came around to score on a three-run home run by Cole Luskey.

Farmington is back in action tonight when it travels to Bloomington for a 6 p.m. road game.
