Thirteen Farmington residents completed the 10th annual Life Time Fitness Triathlon held Saturday in Minneapolis.
Paul Watson was Farmington’s top performer on the international course, placing 210th out of 799 finishers in 2:39.19. Competitors in this division swam 1 1/2 kilometers, biked 40 kilometers and ran 10 kilometers. Watson’s splits were 30:17, 1:13.08 and 52:44.
Other local international course finishers were Robert Kersting (593rd), Jason Schmidt (241st), Andrew Skluzacek (712th) and Loretta Wollin (546th).
Seven local athletes competed in the short course division, with the fastest time going to Chad Harvey. Harvey swam four tenths of a mile in 12 minutes, 18 seconds, biked 15 miles in 44:32 and ran three miles in 24:24 to finish 15th in his age group (35 to 39) and 97th out of 820 overall in a time of 1:25.21.9.
Other local short course finishers were Adam Berry (225th), Mikalyn Kieffer (675th), Robert O’Brien (669th), Audrey Rohrbach (415th), Jennifer Rybar (317th) and Nathan Simmons (464th).
Julie Hull was the only Farmington athlete to complete the elite course. She finished in 2:23.04 to place 40th out of 59 competitors.
