Rose Mary McClintock, 84, of Bonita Springs, Fla., died Monday, Aug. 1, 2011.

Rose Mary McClintock, 84, of Bonita Springs, Fla., died Monday, Aug. 1, 2011.

Formerly of Farmington, Minn., she had been a Bonita resident for the last 15 years. She was born April 2, 1927, in Vermillion, Minn., the daughter of Vincent J. and Catherine (nee Wagner) Rother. She was the secretary to the Farmington Elementary School principal for 20 years and loved every child and teacher she met.

Rose is survived by her loving husband of 65 years, Merle H. McClintock; her devoted daughter and grandson, Cheryl (the late David) Sandberg of Bonita Springs and Eric V. Sandberg of Isles of Capri, Fla.; great-granddaughters, Hannah and Bailey; brothers LeRoy Rother of Vermillion and Albert Rother of Rochester, Minn.; sister, Bernice (Dean) Falls of Gordon, Wis.; sister-in-law Mary (the late Eugene) Rother of Prescott, Wis.; and many nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 13, at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Vermillion, Minn. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Lung Association, 3645 Bonita Beach Rd. #3, Bonita Springs, FL 34134.
