Your weekend: Dakota County Fair continues through the weekend

What is there to do this weekend in Farmington? Well, there's a little celebration going on south of town. Maybe you noticed it? The Dakota County Fair has days worth of livestock, crashing cars and racing lawnmowers in store for you. But that's not all that's going on. Read on to see what's on the schedule.

Thursday

Farmer’s market

The Farmington farmer’s market will take place from 3 to 6 p.m. August 11 on Third Street by city hall. A number of local vendors will have fresh produce and other items for sale.

Mark Twain

A Mark Twain impressionist will perform from 4 to 5 p.m. Aug. 11 on the free entertainment stage at the Dakota County Fair.

Live music

Eel Pout Stringers will perform from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Aug. 11 on the free entertainment stage at the Dakota County Fair.

Tractor pull

There will be a tractor pull starting at 7 p.m. Aug. 11 at the Dakota County Fair grandstand.

Live music

The Johnny Holm Band will perform from 8:45 p.m. to 12:15 a.m. Aug. 11 at the Dakota County Fair’s free entertainment stage.

Friday

Demolition derby

There will be a demolition derby from 7:30 to 10:30 p.m. Aug. 12, 13 and 14 at the Dakota County Fair grandstand. Tickets are available at the fair.

Live music

Still Tickin’ will perform from 7 to 9 p.m. Aug. 12 at Dunn Bros. Coffe, 20700 Chippendale Ave. W.

Lost Highway will perform at 8:30 p.m. Aug. 12 at the Dakota County Fair’s free entertainment stage.

Saturday

Lawn mower racing

There will be lawn mower racing at noon August 13 at the Dakota County Fair grandstand.

Demolition derby

There will be a demolition derby from 7:30 to 10:30 p.m. Aug. 13 and 14 at the Dakota County Fair grandstand. Tickets are available at the fair.

Sunday

There will be a demolition derby from 7:30 to 10:30 p.m. Aug. 14 at the Dakota County Fair grandstand. Tickets are available at the fair.
