Logan Ausen, a member of Boy Scout Troop 119 in Farmington, completed his Eagle Project on Aug. 3 for Trinity Care Center in Farmington. Ausen, along with his family, friends and other Scouts, built a garden arbor trellis bench.

The trellis bench is made out of cedar and will provide the residents and their families a safe place to sit and visit as well as provide protection from the sun. The trellis bench is a great addition to Trinity’s patio area. Joy Lauterbach, director of activities, said residents are using the bench and talking about it amongst their families and each other.

Ausen received donations from Dakota Lumber in Farmington, Menards in Apple Valley, family and friends as well as from families of some of the residents of Trinity Care Center. The project was a total of 201 man hours from the planning stage to completion.
