The Farmington football team will make its 2011 home debut tonight when it takes on Chanhassen.

The Tigers are 0-2, but are coming off two well-contested games. They lost at Rochester Mayo 35-28 after leading 21-0, then fell at Red Wing last Friday 27-19 after trailing 19-0 at halftime.

Chanhassen will play its first road game tonight after dropping its first two contests at home against Owatonna (36-21) and defending Missota Conference champion Shakopee (17-15).

Chanhassen won last year's first-ever Missota Conference meeting with Farmington, 20-0 in Chanhassen in Week 3.

The Tiger offense will look to improve on that effort from a year ago. Junior quarterback Darren Beenken will lead the charge, having already thrown for six touchdowns in two games. Running back Athen Ashton got more involved in the offense last week, running for 95 yards on 20 carries.

Kick-off is tonight at 7 p.m. at Tiger Stadium.
