Your weekend: Ramble Jam country music festival is Saturday

A new coffee will be released, there will be a fundraiser for the FHS football team and a big country music festival is on the schedule for Saturday at the fairgrounds. What more could you want from a weekend?

Thursday

Diabetes support group

A support group for diabetics will resume its meetings starting at 6:30 p.m. Sept. 29 at the Farmington Allina Clinic. There is no charge. The group meets the last Thursday of every month excluding July and August. For more information call Sharon Matthews at 651-438-1851.

Fundraiser

Pellicci Ace Hardware will hold a fundraiser for the Farmington High School football team from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Oct. 1. The team will sell pop and hot dogs at the store. There will also be face painting and visitors can get autographs from football players.

Coffee event

Farmington Dunn Bros. will celebrate BOLD?STANDARD?DAY with the official release of the organic Kenya from the Muiri Coffee Estate Sept. 29. Dunn Bros. will roast the beans from 8 to 10 a.m. and offer deals on the coffee.

Friday

Live music

Songwriter and guitar player Wayne Hamilton will perform original acoustic/blues music with a sense of humor and Southern style from 7 to 9 p.m. Sept. 30 at Dunn Bros. Coffee. Dunn Bros. is located at 20700 Chippendale Ave. W.

Saturday

Ramble Jam

Six country bands are on the schedule for Ramble Jam Oct. 1 at the Dakota County Fairgrounds. Twin Cities favorites Rocket Club, Lost Highway, Hitchville and Sara Lynn Wallin will open the day, followed by national acts Frankie Ballard and Bomshel.

Sunday

Pancake breakfast

The Farmington Knights of Columbus Council 2400 will hold a pancake breakfast from 9 to 11:30 a.m. Oct. 2 at the Church of St. Michael. Funds raised by the Knights of Columbus are donated to a number of causes.

Weekend

Garage sale

St. Anne’s Circle at St. Michael’s Catholic Church will hold a fundraising garage sale from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sept. 29 through Oct. 1 at 608 Fairview Cir. Proceeds will go to needy families.
