Thursday night is Ladies Night at Farmington businesses
Farmington women looking for a night out can take advantage of specials at several downtown businesses Thursday night. Downtown stores will have sales and special features like spa services, and several restaurants will have food and drink specials. The event takes place from 5 to 8 p.m.
Thursday
Family story time
There will be a family storytime from 10:30 to 11:15 a.m. Nov. 17 at the Dakota County Farmington Library, 508 Third St.
Ladies’ Night downtown Farmington
Farmington businesses will team up from 5 to 8 p.m. Nov. 17 to offer several special Ladies’ Night events. Stores and restaurants will have deals, Shidor will have a Godiva Chocolatier on hand and Lillian’s will offer spa services. Ladies’ Night takes place the third Thursday of every month.
Free chair massage
Shelly from Sweet Serenity Massage will give free chair massages from 6 to 8 p.m. Nov. 17 at Dunn Bros. Coffee in Farmington. Dunn Bros. is located at 20700 Chippendale Ave.
Open stage
There will be an open stage from 6:30 to 10 p.m. Nov. 17 at the Ugly Mug coffee shop and bar. The event takes place the third Thursday of every month and is open to anyone who wants to perform. The Ugly Mug is located at 18450 Pilot Knob Road.

Live music
Former Las Vegas performers Al Yvigues and Larry Koury team up with singer Kalli Matsuhashi for an evening of romantic smooth jazz and blues from 7 to 9 p.m. Nov. 18 at Dunn Bros. Coffee. Dunn Bros. is located at 20700 Chippendale Ave.
Saturday
Fall bazaar
First United Presbyterian Church will hold its fall bazaar and soup lunch from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Nov. 19 at the church, 625 Heritage Way. Visitors can pick up desserts for Thanksgiving and buy Christmas presents.
Make an ornament
Children of all ages can help make an ornament chain to place on the community Christmas tree from 1 to 3 p.m. Nov. 19 at the Dakota County Farmington Library. Participants can also add hangers to Styrofoam stockings that will be placed on the tree.
Steak fry
The Farmington VFW will hold a steak fry from 5 to 7 p.m. Nov. 19 to benefit Boy Scout Troop #116.
Turkey Bingo
The Farmington Knights of Columbus will hold their annual Turkey Bingo fundraiser from 6:30 to 9 p.m. Nov. 19 at St. Michael’s Catholic Church. There will be a sloppy Joe dinner at 5:30 p.m. Bingo will start when dinner is over. The church is located at 22120 Denmark Ave. Proceeds from the event will go to the Farmington food shelf.
