VFW will hold steak fry to raise funds for Warrior to Citizen Saturday, other events are scheduled

Between pies and stories and live music, there are lots of fun things coming up in Farmington this weekend. Read on to learn more.

Thursday

Storytime for babies

The Dakota County Farmington Library will hold a storytime for babies from 10:30 to 11:15 a.m. Feb. 2. The event includes stories, activities and playtime for children up to 24 months and their families. Free pie night

Dunn Bros. Coffee in Farmington will celebrate Groundhog Day by giving away a free slice of Baker’s Square pie with every drink purchase from 5 to 8 p.m. Feb. 2. Dunn Bros. is located at 20700 Chippendale Ave.

Friday

Storytime for all ages

Live music

Former Las Vegas singer and guitarist Al Ynigues will perform classic jazz and blues music from 7 to 9 p.m. Feb. 3 at Dunn Bros. Coffee in Farmington. Dunn Bros. is located at 20700 Chippendale Ave.

Saturday

Steak fry

The Farmington Warrior to Citizen group will hold a steak fry from 5 to 8 p.m. Feb. 4 at the Farmington VFW Post. The menu will include a Von Hanson steak, baked potato, salad, vegetables, dessert and coffee. Proceeds will go to support local military families. The VFW is located at 420 Third St.

Play

Castle Rock Methodist Church will host Light House Ministries in the City for the play “The Reporter: Articles from Hell” at 7 p.m. Feb. 4. There is no admission charge. A free will offering will be taken. The church is located at 27890 Delft Ave. W in Castle Rock.
