Your weekend: Ladies Night returns Thursday

Ladies Night is back Thursday night at several Farmington businesses. So is the open stage at the Ugly Mug. And that's just the beginning. Read on to see what else is going on this weekend in Farmington.

Thursday

Guitar Hero at the library

Teens can play Guitar Hero on the on the big screen at the Dakota County Farmington Library from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. March 15. The library is located at 508 Third St.

Ladies Night in Farmington

Farmington businesses will have specials and other attractions for their monthly Ladies Night from 5 to 8 p.m. March 15. Lillians will offer complimentary spa service. Vintage Marketplace will feature extended hours and a free gift with purchase and Market on Oak will have a drawing for a $63 shopping spree, buy-one-get-one specials on select items and snacks and samples. Gossips, the Longbranch Saloon and Blondie’s Tavern will all offer specials. Ladies Night takes place the third Thursday of every month.

Open stage

There will be an open stage hosted by Marv Gohman starting at 6:30 p.m. March 15 at the Ugly Mug coffee shop and bar. The Ugly Mug is located at 18450 Pilot Knob Road.

Friday

Storytime for all ages

The Dakota County Farmington Library will offer a storytime for all ages from 10:30 to 16 a.m. March 15. The event will include stories and activities idea for a mixed age group. The library is located at 508 Third St.

Fundraiser concert

Local band Over Night Effect will hold a fundraiser concert for injured Benilde St. Margarets hockey player Jack Jablonski starting at 6:30 p.m. March 16 at B&B Pizza. The first 25 people in the door will get a Jabby13 jelly bracelet, and there will be a raffle for t-shirts. Proceeds will go to the Jack Jablonski Fund.

Live music

Prairie Home Companion musicians Gary Raynor and Randy Sabien will join Jerry Kosak to play country, blues and swing music from 7 to 9 p.m. March 16 at Dunn Bros. Coffee in Farmington. Dunn Bros. is located at 20700 Chippendale Ave.

Saturday

Read to dogs

Kids can practice their reading skills by reading to trained therapy dogs from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. March 17 at the Dakota County Farmington Library. The library is located at 508 Third St.

Steak fry

There will be a steak fry to benefit Boy Scout Troop 116 from 5 to 8 p.m. March 17 at the Farmington VFW.

The VFW is located at 421 Third St.
