Farmington alum Trey Davis set a new personal-best in the shot put at the Big 10 Outdoor Championships last weekend in Madison.
Davis finished sixth with a toss of 60 feet, 1 3/4 inches. The toss ranks eighth-best in Minnesota history.
The Gophers finished seventh as a team with 70 1/2 points.
