To the editor,
Our 10-year-old son recently wrote a poem to my wife. With Mother's Day last Sunday, I feel the poem truly expresses the way young sons feel about their mothers.
So to all the mothers out there, especially to my mom, Happy Mother's Day!
Mom you're so sweet
Your love flows from my head to my feet.
You love me so
That my heart overflows.
Tender is your love
It's so much like a dove.
You love me so much
That you comfort me with only a touch.
At night when you tuck me in
I feel like I'm in a 5 star inn.
You're priceless... more than silver or gold
You have no price that can be told.
We bond so tight together
Tighter than a belt made of leather.
Your love is as strong as steel
It's your secret ingredient in every meal.
