ST. PAUL – The Democratic National Convention in Denver is showcasing fewer speakers this year, but U.S. Sen. Amy Klobuchar has two shots at delegates.

In a Monday speech, the Minnesota Democrat said that she expects to promote Barack Obama's work on making changes in the federal government. On Tuesday, she joins other female senators on a panel dealing with women's issues.

Klobuchar said that in her full convention speech, she will emphasize work the two senators have done together.

"My No. 1 priority to get the playing field more fair for middle class," the senator said.

For instance, she said, the speech will include references to ethics reform the pair helped to pass.

Klobuchar also will speak to a number of state delegations and other groups during the convention.
