Alexis Preese was crowned Miss Farmington at the city's annual pageant Wednesday night. Roni Page Peterson was named Junior Miss Farmington and Hailey White was named Little Miss Farmington.
Heather Torkelson and Stephanie Barnes joined Preese as first and second Miss Farmington princesses, respectively. Riley King was the Junior Miss Farmington first princess and Vanessa Thraen was second princess.
Among the Little Miss Farmington candidates, Libby Bolton was first princess and Tatum Hodgkins was second princess.
The pageant took place at Boeckman Middle School and featured a dance number with this year's candidates and last year's court. It also featured "fun fashion" and formalwear competitions and, for the older two categories, an opportunity to answer a question on stage.
Miss Farmington candidates were required to make a platform speech. Preese spoke about preventing teen pregnancy.
Preese was sponsored by Immanuel Dental, Peterson by Synergy Dance Co. and White by Pellicci Ace Hardware.
Last year's Miss Farmington court made nearly 100 appearances during their time in crown and gown. All had a chance to make a final statement, and many ended up in tears as they contemplated the end of their reigns.
