Rebecca Lester graduated on May 12, 2012 from the University of Minnesota Duluth. She earned a double major at the College of Liberal Arts, obtaining a BA in Women’s Studies and a BA in American Indian Studies. She accomplished this in only four years, graduating with departmental honors, and was on the UMD Dean’s List 4 out of 8 semesters. She is a women’s sexual assault advocate with PAVSA and is involved in the Mentor Duluth Program, mentoring young women. She is the daughter of Robert and Kim Lester of Farmington.
