Children’s Castle Theater will present its summer production of “Cinderella: When Castle Meets Country” this weekend at the Lakeville Area Arts Center.
Performed by 90 local actors, “Cinderella” aims to create a fun and humorous show for audiences of every age and gender. While the sweet and magical story of Cinderella (Tyra Jaramillo) and her two snobby step-sisters (Brielle Franke and Claire Vietti) remains intact, audiences who seek a little less “fairy-tale” will find themselves laughing along with the side story of the Prince (Grant Uline) as he attempts to fulfill his lifelong dream of letting country bumpkin commoners into the castle.
Performances for “Cinderella” are scheduled for 7 p.m. Friday, July 13 and Saturday July 14 at and 2 p.m. July 14 and 15 at the Lakeville Area Arts Center.
Tickets are $10 for adults, $6 for senior citizens and $8 for kids 10 and under and can be purchased at the door or by calling 952-985-4640.
“Cinderella” is CCT’s 30th production in the Dakota Country community. CCT is an inter-generational children’s theater that teaches actors of every age and skill level about the art of theater through the hands on experience of performing a full length production.
