David "Buzz" Dean Gehloff, age 65, of Farmington, died on Thursday, Sept. 6, at Reflections in Northfield.
Born on June 29, 1947, in Waseca, Minn., he was the son of William and Viola (Tetzloff) Gehloff. He graduated from Waseca High School in 1965. David married Barbara Hanf on Nov. 12, 1966, at St. Jarlath Catholic Church in Iosco Township. He was a baker for over 40 years, having owned and operated Dave's Hometown Bakery in Waseca. For the past 16 years, he was employed at Rainbow Foods in Apple Valley. David was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Farmington.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara of Farmington; four children, Rodney (Karyl) Gehloff of Plainview, Troy Gehloff and special friend Monica Dokken of Janesville, Davia Gehloff of Lakeville, and Wayne (Deanna) Gehloff of Rosemount; 11 grandchildren, Josh, Cody, Jasmine, Javorey, Jada, Beretta, Mallorie, Payton, Alex, Shane, and Jacob; and two great-grandchildren, Lily and Sydnee. He is also survived by one brother, Donald (Cleora) Gehloff of Waseca; one sister, Donna Lytle of Eagan; mother-in-law, Kathleen Hanf of Janesville; and one sister-in-law, Darlene (Phil) Kukuczka of Waseca.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Dale Gehloff.
Visitation will be held at Kinder-Dennis Home for Funerals in Waseca from 3-7 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 9, and continue on Monday 1 hour before services at the church. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Sept. 10, at Trinity Lutheran Church-Wilton. Burial will follow at St. Jarlath Cemetery in Waseca County.
