FHS Homecoming parade route was changed Monday

The Farmington High School homecoming parade route was changed late Monday. It will now travel north up Fourth Street, rather than Third Street. Read on for more details.

The route for the Farmington High School Homecoming Parade will be moved one block east to Fourth Street but will still begin at the Dakota County Fairgrounds it was determined Monday. The parade will begin on Wednesday, September 26 at 6 p.m. with th a route that leads north on Fourth Street to Spruce Street, then left (west) to Boeckman Middle School via Spruce Street.

A performance by the Farmington High School Marching Band is planned for Third and Spruce Street in front of Farmington City Hall and the Dakota County Library.

According to the School District 192 website, the change in route was made in respect to family and persons attending a visitation at White Funeral Home along the former parade route during the time of the parade.
