Haunted houses, Halloween walk are on the schedule this weekend in Farmington
Farmington residents can choose among several haunted houses this weekend and kids can take in the annual Halloween walk Friday at Dodge Middle School. And that's just the start. Take a look to see what else is on the schedule this weekend in Farmington.
Friday
Halloween storytime
Kids can wear their Halloween costume for a not-so-spooky Halloween program from 10:30 to 11 a.m. Oct. 26 at the Dakota County Farmington Library. The library is located at 508 Third St.
Halloween walk
Farmington Community Education will hold its annual Halloween walk from 5:30 to 7 p.m. Oct. 26 at Dodge Middle School. Kids can come in costume to collect candy and other treats from a variety of local businesses and organizations.
Saturday
Waffle breakfast
The Rambling River Center will hold a waffle breakfast fundraiser from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Oct. 27. The event will feature Dad’s Belgian waffles, sausages, toppings and beverages. Carry-out plates are available. Rambling River Center is located at 325 Oak St.
Weekend
Haunted house
The Farmington Fire Explorers will hold their second annual haunted house from 5 to 9 p.m. Oct. 27-31 at Fire Station 1, 21625 Denmark Ave. Donations will help pay for Explorers’ training equipment, uniforms and competitions.
Haunted garage
Farmington’s haunted garage will return from 6 to 9 p.m. Oct. 27 and 28 and 6:30 to 9 p.m. Oct. 31 at 18577 Euclid Path. Visitors should bring a food shelf donation Oct. 27 and 28. A donation is encouraged on Halloween. For more information on the event visit facebook.com/hauntedgaragefarmington.
Haunted house
A Nightmare on Ellington Trail will return for its fifth year on two upcoming weekends and Halloween night. The haunted house has a goal of collecting more than 1,000 pounds of food for the Farmington Food Shelf. Admission is one non-perishable food item or a gift card from a local grocery store. The haunted house will run from 7 to 10 p.m. Oct. 26, 27 and 31 at 19337 Ellington Tr.
Live music
OFR will perform Friday and Saturday at the Farmington VFW. The VFW is located at 420 Third St. The club will have a Halloween party Oct. 27.
