FES holds Minute to Win It contest for Read-a-Thon winners

Farmington Elementary School students raised approximately $8,200 during a two-week Read-a-Thon in November.?Students took pledges for the number of minutes they read, and those who read the most during the two-week period got to participate in a school assembly Nov. 30.

Farmington Elementary School students raised approximately $8,200 during a two-week Read-a-Thon in November.?Students took pledges for the number of minutes they read, and those who read the most during the two-week period got to participate in a school assembly Nov. 30.

The assembly included a Minute to Win It-style contest and the top students got to dunk their favorite FES staff in a dunk tank.

The money raised through the Read-a-Thon will be used to assist the FES Parent-Teacher Partnership in purchasing new reading materials for the school.
