The Farmington dance team recently competed in a pair of Missota Conference meets.
The varsity dancers placed fifth in the kick competition Nov. 29 at Holy Angels in Richfield and fourth in the jazz competition Dec. 3 at Tiger Gym. The JV squad placed second in kicks at Holy Angels and fifth in jazz at Farmington before coming in eighth Saturday at the Lakeville North Invitational.
“The girls worked hard and performed very well at both conference meets. We are part of an extremely competitive conference where the placings can change at any point throughout the season,” Farmington coach Shelby Kuphal said. “We are working hard to improve the consistency of our technique and unity of the routines for our next conference meets, and looking forward to improving our standing within the six conference teams.”
The Tigers competed in another conference kick meet Tuesday at Northfield. Results will appear in next week’s edition of the Independent.
