NOTICE

EMPIRE TOWNSHIP

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, the Planning Commission of Empire Township has scheduled a series of public hearings, beginning at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 15, 2013, at the Empire Town Hall, 3385–197th Street.

HEARING #1.The purpose of this hearing is to consider issuing an Interim Use Permit to Aggregate Industries-MWR, Inc. for mineral extraction on property legally described as the Southeast Quarter of Section 6, Township 114, Range 19, lying easterly of the CP Railway, and including continued mineral extraction and reclamation in the South 1900 feet of the South Half of Section 6, Township 114, Range 19, lying westerly of the CP Railway.

HEARING #2.The purpose of this hearing is to consider rezoning the new mineral extraction area identified in Hearing #1 from AG Agricultural Preservation to ME Mineral Extraction, on property legally described as the Southeast Quarter of Section 6, Township 114, Range 19, lying easterly of the CP Railway.

All interested parties are urged to attend these hearings or submit written comment to be read at the hearings.
