Storytime for all ages
There will be a storytime for all ages from 10:30 to 11 a.m. Jan. 11 at the Dakota County Farmington Library. Stories and activities are ideal for mixed- age audiences such as childcare groups and families. The library is located at 508 Third St.
Of Dolls & Murder: A Minnesota Made Documentary
Before forensics, DNA and CSI homicide used dollhouses – a collection of miniature crime scenes – to hone their investigative skills. The library will screen this award-winning documentary by Minneapolis-based filmmaker and author Susan Marks from 1 to 2:30 p.m. Jan. 12 The film explores the dioramas and their relationships to modern-day forensics. The Farmington Sons of the American Legion will hold an omelet breakfast fundraiser from 8:30 a.m. to noon Jan. 13 at Tailgaters. All proceeds will benefit the 2013 Farmington Dew Days celebration. Tailgaters is located at 10 Eighth St.
Safe schools dialogue
The Farmington School District will hold a community dialogue on safe schools at 7 p.m. Jan. 14 in the large lecture hall at Farmington High School. The meeting will feature an overview of the steps taken by Farmington schools to ensure a safe environment followed by a discussion with community members. Storytime in the Park
The Dakota County Farmington Library and the Farmington Parks and Recreation Department will offer stories, games and crafts in an indoor parklike setting at Trinity Care Center from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Jan. 16. Trinity Care Center is located at 3410 213th St. W.
Teens can play Guitar Hero on the big screen at the Dakota County Farmington Library from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. Jan. 17. The library is located at 508 Third St.

Wild game dinner
The Dakota County Sportsman’s Club will hold its 31st annual wild game dinner from 5 to 9 p.m. Jan. 19 at Tailgaters Bar and Grill.
