Storytime for all ages
There will be a storytime for all ages from 10:30 to 11 a.m. Jan. 25 at the Dakota County Farmington Library. Storytime includes stories and activities ideal for mixed-age audiences such as childcare groups and families. The library is located at 508 Third St.
Saturday
Community expo
The Farmington Community Expo will return from 9 a.m. to noon Jan. 26 at Farmington High School. There will be information about city of Farmington and community activities, cooking demonstrations by Chef Diane, and information from a wide range of local businesses and organizations. Beer bash fundraiser
There will be a beer bash fundraiser with live music Jan. 26 at Tailgaters Sports Bar & Grill to support local race car driver Adam Royle as he prepares to travel to Daytona. The beer bash starts at 6 p.m. and the band Lady Luck will perform at 9 p.m. Royle, the Minnesota State Champion and No. 9 in the nation, will race at Daytona in February.

Pointillism with Abrakadoodle
Kids ages 6 to 14 can create a picture using only dots of paint in a free Minnesota Legacy Program class at the Dakota County Farmington Library. The class will take place from 1 to 2 p.m. Jan. 28. Tolkein Trivia
Kids ages 10 to 15 can test their knowledge of author J.R.R. Tolkein and books such as The Hobbit during a trivia challenge from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. Jan. 28 at the Dakota County Farmington Library. The library is located at 508 Third St.
Beyond computer basics
Learn what’s on your computer and how to work with files, folders, printing and computer maintenance in a class for PC users from 6 to 8 p.m. Jan. 28 at the Dakota County Farmington Library.
