Your weekend: Do Zumba, help the FHS Class of 2013
Check out the Songwriters' Showcase at Dunn Bros. on Friday night. It will feature six Minnesota singer-songwriters who will perform their own original music.
Friday
Storytime for all ages
The Dakota County Farmington Library will hold a storytime for all ages from 10:30 to 11 a.m. Feb. 15. Storytime includes stories and activities ideal for mixed-age audiences such as childcare groups and families. The library is located at 508 Third St.
Songwriters’ showcase
Six Minnesota singer-songwriters will perform their original music in a showcase from 7 to 10 p.m. Feb. 15 at Dunn Bros. in Farmington. Dunn Bros. is located at 20700 Chippendale Ave.
Dave Thompson office hours
Sen. Dave Thompson will hold office hours from 10:30 a.m. to noon Feb. 15 at the Dakota County Farmington Library.
Saturday
FHS senior party Zumba fundraiser
There will be a Zumba class to raise money for the FHS class of 2013 all-night party at 10 a.m. Feb. 16 at Dodge Middle School. Tickets are $10 and are available at the door.
Waggin’ Tales
Kids ages 5 to 10 can practice their reading skills by reading to certified therapy dogs from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Feb. 16. The library is located at 508 Third St.
Steak fry
There will be a steak fry fundraiser for Boy Scout Troop #118 from 5 to 8 p.m. Feb. 16 at the Farmington VFW. The menu will include a Von Hanson steak, baked potato, salad, veggies, bread, dessert, coffee and water. The VFW is located at 421 Third St.
