Guitar Hero at the library
Farmington teens can play Guitar Hero on the big screen at the Dakota County Farmington Library from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. Feb. 21. The library is located at 508 Third St.
Tax-free investing seminar
Edward Jones financial advisor Scott Siebenaler will hold a free seminar on tax-free investing at 6:45 p.m. Feb. 21 at Meadowview Elementary School. Attendees will learn about tax-advantaged investments and their features, three ways to purchase municipal bonds and how tax-free investing can help you achieve your goals. Meadowview is located at 6100 195th St.
Storytime for all ages
The Dakota County Farmington Library will hold a storytime for all ages from 10:30 to 11 a.m. Feb. 22. Storytime includes stories and activities ideal for mixed-age audiences such as childcare groups and families. The library is located at 508 Third St.
The Farmington Knights of Columbus will hold a spaghetti Bingo fundraiser from starting at 5:30 p.m. Feb. 23 at the Church of St. Michael, 22120 Denmark Ave. The dinner will feature homemade meatballs. Prizes include turkeys, hams and cash. Proceeds will go to charitable and service projects sponsored by the KCs.
Senior class party fundraiser
There will be a parents’ night out fundraiser for the Farmington High School Class of 2013 graduation party from 8 to 11 p.m. Feb. 23 at Celts Pub. There will be a silent auction and a band. Celts is located at 200 Third St.
The Greater Twin Cities Youth Symphonies concertino and philharmonic orchestras will perform along with Minnesota Orchestra violinist Michael Sutton at 2 p.m. Feb. 24 at Farmington High School. The group will perform Saint Saëns’ introduction and Rondo Capriciosso with Philharmonic. Tickets will be available at the door.
