Sealed bids will be received by the City of Farmington, Minnesota, in the City Hall at 430 Third Street until 2:00 P.M. on Tuesday, March 12, 2013 at which time they will be publicly opened and read aloud for the purchase by the City of the following equipment:

Mechanized Refuse Collection Vehicle including:

(1) Truck Chassis with fully automated, side arm loading garbage refuse packer and correlated appurtenances.

Plans and specifications, bid forms and contract documents may be seen at the office of the City Clerk, 430 Third Street, Farmington, Minnesota, 55024.

Each bid shall be accompanied by a bid bond naming the City of Farmington as obligee, a certified check payable to the Clerk of the City of Farmington, or a cash deposit equal to at least five percent (5%) of the amount of the bid, which shall be forfeited to the City in event that the bidder fails to enter into a contract.

The City Council reserves the right to retain the bid security of the three lowest bidders for a period not to exceed 90 days after the date and time set for the opening of bids. No bids may be withdrawn for a period of ninety (90) days after the date and time set for the opening of bids.

Payment for the vehicle will be by cash or check.

The City Council reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to waive irregularities and informalities therein and further reserves the right to award the contract to the best interests of the City.
