Farmington Food Shelf
Farmington Boy and Girl Scout Troops will be collecting food from area residents on Saturday, April 6. This is the Scouts annual food drive and has been a successful, welcome project to support the Farmington Food Shelf. The winter months have depleted the food supply at the Food Shelf and this food drive will be a welcome addition to the near empty shelves.
Food donations are also accepted at the Food Shelf on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 1-6 p.m. The food shelf is located at the Instructional Services Center at 510 Walnut St. Enter the east doors and the food shelf is the second door on the left. If you cannot come on a Tuesday or Thursday, there are grocery carts and collection bins inside the door in the hallway, where food donations may be left.
The Farmington VFW will host a steak fry this Saturday, March 16, for the Boy Scout Troop #116. Serving from 5-8 p.m. You get a Von Hansen Steak, baked potato, salad, veggies, buns, dessert, plus coffee and water, all for a donation of $10.

Farmington Dew Days
Plans are coming along nicely for the 2013 Dew Days celebration.
Our plans for Dew Days 2013 are well under way and we have some new changes as well as the old favorites. We’ll be bringing back the medallion hunt this year, and we’re also offering a softball tournament for the second year in a row. We have lots of new food and craft vendors, and Beer, Brats & Bingo is back with great prizes this year.
We’re also looking to share your Dew Days memories. Please feel free to add some postings (and pictures!) to the Farmington Dew Days Facebook site. We would love to post your photos from 2012 Dew Days on both our web site and Facebook site. Please sort through last year's photos and pick out your favorite and/or funniest photos from the 2012 Farmington Dew Days!
