Author, illustrator and musician Warren Hanson will visit the Dakota County Farmington Library from 10:30 to noon June 5.

Author, illustrator and musician Warren Hanson will visit the Dakota County Farmington Library from 10:30 to noon June 5. Hanson, the illustrator of "A Cup of Christmas Tea," will read some of his own works and take questions from the audience.

June 8
Fundraiser
There will be a benefit June 8 at Pampered Pet Spa in Farmington for Farmington Middle School West eighth grader Andrew Kippley. Andrew was diagnosed at age 2 with neuroblastoma. He found out two weeks ago the cancer had returned. Pampered Pet Spa will have chips and drinks June 8. 100 percent of proceeds June 8 will go to Andrew’s family to help pay for treatment. The benefit will start at 8 a.m.
Outdoor worship
The River Church will hold its Sunday services at Rambling River Park starting June 8. Worship begins at 10 a.m.

Salad luncheon
Farmington Lutheran Church will hold its annual salad luncheon from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. June 12.
The church is located at 20600 Akin Road.
